Dr Kimii Mruaak

Kimii was the chief medical officer at Odegra Down spaceport, with responsibility for thawing the incoming prisoners and turning them over alive to the wardens of the Pit for delivery to their fate. When a crawler containing victims of the spurious 'disease' was reported inbound from the science base, she resolved to do what she could for the victims, and accompanied the vehicle into the shuttle Curly and thence the Exismolia.

Her actions may have been sparked by an underlying frustration with delivering perfectly healthy people to be worked to death by people like Bleacher; Kimii is a deeply humanitarian person - first, last and always a doctor.
